France is the largest country in Western Europe and has an area of 21100 square miles. It has almost one fifth total area of the European Union.

France is a very important nation in Europe and it continues to be involved in contemporary policy issues. Helping the world as one of the great trading nations, France is a very important trading partner with the United States. Not only is France important to the United States, they are also important to many countries Their abundance of both mineral and agricultural resources makes them world's leading supplier of products. France is also known for its importance, especially for the import and export of goods and services all around the world. In the following paragraphs the facts are to be revealed about the economical situation of France.

The most important sectors of its economy will get attention, because they are dependant for the success of France.

As can be noticed, this country has an interesting economy and one can learn more of France in general.

2. FRANCE'S GENERAL ECONOMICAL VIEW

France has been ranked among the world's most economically advanced nations since the end of the World War II. Before the war came, France was developing its economy, but after the war there was a lot of improvement in the country.

Railways were nationalized in 1937 and many sectors of the French economy came under state control. Sectors such as coal, natural gas, electricity, banking and transportation (think of Renault and Air France) were the main elements of the economy.
