Picture of the boreal shield biome area
The Boreal shield Fauna consists mainly of species that live together in groups when referring to larger animals, from the herds of caribou and deer, and to the packs of wolves. The smaller animals tend to bounce between large groups, like that of the beavers, to near solitary animals such as the marten. There are exceptions of course, like that of the black bear which is a larger animal, yet solitary.
